Default Flights from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo

Can anyone help me? I am looking for info on internal flights from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo, along with costs and times of flights. I am struggling finding the information. We are flying to Punta Cana from England, but are stayig at the Hamaca (again) so the transfer time is horrendous. Every other time, we have flown to santo Domingo or La Romana, but this year we can only fly to Punta Cana.
Any help would be appreciated.
Carolyn

What time do you arrive? Maybe you have time to catch a bus for less than US$10. The cost of the plane will be about US$250 because you have to charter a four-seater. That will put you into Las Americas, but then you will have to pay for a taxi to go to Boca Chica. I would think you could find a taxi for less than half that price to take you to your hotel in Boca Chica. This is absurd, because your hotel is 10 minutes from Las Americas International! Maybe you should try changing your hotel this year and stay in Punta Cana!

Thanks for your reply Dolores. I had been told by somebody that you could get internal flights for around $70!! I already have a transfer included in the cost of the holiday, but I was just looking for a way to speed up the process, not that I'm impatient! It is absurd, you are right. The first year I flew to Santo Domingo and it was great. For some reason the next two years, I had to fly to La Romana, which was bad enough and now it's Punta Cana. They'll be having me at Puerto Plata next! I keep going back to the Hamaca as I meet up with loads of people there each year and I love the place.
Thanks again. Any more suggestions would be welcome!

The US$70 flight was discontinued. This was when Air Santo Domingo operated domestic flights. The company now only flies international.

Double checked and Stanley is right! Air Santo Domingo kept the Punta Cana flight which is US$65 for the trip to Herrera airport. The flight departs from Punta Cana once a day at 8:30 am, so your flight would have to arrive very early for you to make the connection. The return flight is at 5:30 pm from Herrera to Punta Cana. Add to that the taxi from Herrera to Boca Chica will cost you about US$17 (that is if you use the service of a taxi called by radio, like Apolo Taxi). Herrera airport taxis will charge more. This is about a 45 minute trip, that is, Herrera to Boca Chica (Hamaca).

Looking at the timetables Stanley has written, it appears there is a flight from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo at 1630hrs. Is this still the case, as this would be ideal. We land at Punta Cana at 1530hrs. If so, how do I go about booking it?
Thanks to all of you for your help.
