Best Time to purchase Air Ticket for DR May Trip?

Hey people! Just trying to figure out the best time to purchase my airline ticket to Santo Domingo for May 26- June 2. Right now it's 463 round trip from Atlanta... Would it be advisable to wait until the prices go down maybe with a Easter Sale or closer to the date of departure? Thanks for all your help and suggesstions!

That seems high, especially considering that's what they're trying to chage right now for travel from NYC on the 25th of May thru June 5th. Ouch.

A few friends who've travelled down around this time of year are saying that the prices generally speaking should come down after Easter. I hope so!

Don't count on it!!!! When I got my tickets in Fed. (JFK to POP) the price was $460.00 altough I used F/F miles to purchase these tickets. Same flights now 5/21 - 5/30 are $600.00!!!!

Anyrate, thanks for the depressing news about the ticket prices. I'm still gonna wait 'til after Sunday, and hope for the best, but if it means I pay $450.00 for it, oh well... Come hell or high water, I'll be on Playa Sosua on the 25th of May sipping an ice cold Presidente...
