Fellow Brits can you help please?

Good afternoon all

I´ve been living here for just over a year now and would like to go back to the UK for a holiday later in the year, to keep my mum happy if nothing else.

Punta Cana and La Romana are the nearest airports to me. I´ve been looking on the net but the prices are very expensive. Can anyone tell me the cheapest way to go please?

Try Thomas Cook, one way standby ticket to get from Punta Cana or La Romana to there and then a last-minute roundtrip to come back, sacrificing the return flight. For this check out www.rainbow-flights.co.uk. Others have told me to get a PTA ticket, which is a roundtrip from here but prepaid in England. Never tried that but should also be cheaper.

You could try the British tour operators' offices - Thomas Cook/Cosmos/Thomson/Airtours all have offices in the DR and can sell you spare seats. Or try www.icelolly.com if you're more flexible with your dates, as this website deals with REALLY cheap cancellations. Good luck.
