Default From DR to dubai, please help!!!

What is the cheapest and the most effective route from DR (SDQ or pop) to Dubai, United arab Emirates. I can fly within 2 months and don't care about dates. i would like to stay there for 2 weeks and come back to DR. I don't care if its a charter or "papi chulo" airlines. I just don't want to spend 2000 dollars RT. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Default After a quick search...

The other options that were turned up are much better, so don't bother with my original suggestion!

I know the obvious routes ex: JFK to DXB via UAE airlines non-stop (yes, non stop 14 hrs journey starting 1st of june). This option is cheaper.

Latino2002, please help. If I take a buddy pass flight from SDQ to jfk in Delta, can I continue on to paris and then the code share to DXB (airfrance)? Or do you think I have to go to atlanta and then to paris and then to DXB? Are there any flights (codeshare DL) from JFK to to paris? Please tell me what does the code share look like from charles DeGualle (spelling) to DXB look like (availability for month of june). I don't want to get bumped off on paris. Thanks in advance.
AZB
P.S. while you are researching that, please tell me the total buddy pass fare (delta) from SDQ to DXB with all stop overs and taxes. Thanks in advance (again).

AZB,
You can get really good deals from Newark to Dubai in May from Malaysia airlines - Alex just got one from Dubai to Newark - round trip for Dirhams 1777.00 (3.67 dirhams = 1US$)!!!
However, getting fro the DR to Newark round trip cost more!!!!! (1800 Dirhams)!
I was just there in Dubai and spoke to friends in Emirates who confirm that there will be a daily flight from JFK to DXB starting in June - but it will not be cheap!! And they're fairly well booked already!!
There are good deals out of London/Gatwick etc. but you have to shop around - and you've still got to get to LHR?
You want to PM me or call me on my cell I'll send you the number.
Why for you go Dubai? It's clogged with traffic and one big building site!!

work is good, but money is still in pesos and you know darn well, what pesos are worth outside of DR.
I have been offered a good job in Dubai where I can make alot of money and live well. I have had my fun now I am looking at my future. I am still only going to visit there to see how I fit in. This is only a 2 week trip to check out the place and the market to see what its all worth. If I don't like the place, I will come running right back to santiago. In any case, nothing is concrete until I will see the real truth behind the offer. Like I said, I am only going there to check out the place. Nothing more.
