San Juan To Punta Cana??

HELP!! My friend and I are leaving for SJU (san juan PR) On thursday. From there we need to get to Punta Cana, DR. Anyone know of any airlines that fly there or that we can charter for cheap? My 'friend' messed up the hotel reservations and we can't check into our hotel until Friday! Now we have to spend a night in PR then fly into DR the next day, losing out on our second leg flight (a special that will be to expensive to reschedule).

If anyone knows any easy, SAFE, and inexpensive ways to get to DR from PR..PLEASE HELP..

Don't you think the cheaper of the two evils would be to fly into Punta Cana as arranged originally and find acommodation for the one odd night. Contact the hotel and/or resort and let them know you arriving one day early. I doubt they will refuse you once you show up as they do have contingency plans to find accommodation for guests. Money talks!!!
