Default Airports...

Being a frequent visitor to the Dominican Republic, and mainly traveling through SDQ, I was wondering what Airports in the Dominican besides Santo Domingo, La Romana, Punta Cana, and Puerto Plata have scheduled airline service. I came across a picture on the internet the other day on Myaviation.net of two Air Santo Domingo B1900D's parked next to each other at the Samana Airport. This picture can be found at http://myaviation.net/?pid=00025106. I've also noticed that while flying in MSFS2004 that there are some considerable sized airports, most noticably Santiago and Baharona. Why dont airports like this have any considerable air trafic or any at all for that matter. If anyone could clear this up for me that would be great. Thanks.

1. That airport in the Dominican must hurt him a hell of a lot as that is the term for a person who lives there. You mean the DR, if you don't want to type its actual long form of the name.

2. Santiago (STI) has scheduled flights with JETS (!) no less with AA and other airlines. Including Jet Blue soon, I hear. Herrera has scheduled non international service on a few smallish airlines.

Interesting that those Air Santo Domingo craft have US registrations?
