Buses from Santiago to Puerto Plata (Riu Merengue)

I am coming to Puerto Plata the time from 11/25 - 11/30, and I would like to know the cheapest way to get from the SANTIAGO airport to the Riu Merengue in Puerto Plata. I don't speak Spanish, and Caribe Tours and Metro Tours operators don't speak English. I would like to ride the bus, I heard it's really cheap. What is the best way to arrange a way for me and my husband to the Riu Merengue without knowing Spanish? Are there English signs posted in the Santiago Airport?

No spanish, no bus. There is no bus at the Airport anyway. You'd still have to get to downtown Santiago to get on any bus.

Take a taxi. Rates are posted at the Airport. Probably about US$60 to Puerto Plata.

The cheapest way is to take a taxi from airport to Caribe Tours bus terminal in Santiago. Say "Puerto Plata" to the ticket seller. There is a bus every hour. The bus is going to cost about RD$100/person. Take a taxi from Caribe Tours bus terminal in Puerto Plata to your hotel.
