Air Turks & Caicos is requesting permission to fly to Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, Santiago from Turks & Caicos. The airline is also requesting permission to fly from Turks & Caicos/Gran Inagua to Santiago, and Turks & Caicos/Cap Haitien/Santiago.

Turks and Caicos has a fast growing tourism industry but, despite its extremely close proximity to the north coast of Hispanola, very few commercial contacts. I hope they fly to Santiago so that Turk and Caicoans (?) (Turks?) can establish business contacts in the DR (and visa versa). Then the DR can take advantage economically of tourism growth in those islands as well.
