Default Question for STIOP

HI,

I sent you an instant message regarding this and you never got back to me.

I flew from STI to JFK on September 26. I noticed there was an A300 parked there with one engine completely removed. The wing looked like it had sustained some damage as well.

Do you know what happened to that A300. I have pictures. Let me know if you want them. I'll e-mail them to you.

Sorry i couldn get back to you..........

yes it was A-300-600 N-40064 had a problem with the cowling that resides just in front of the trhust reverser.... the cover came of on landing..........
the damage on the wind that u saw was from the covber hitting the wing when it came of.... no damage to runway or passengers and crew just clean up the mess.......

It stayed for 3 weeks... the tulsa oklahoma crew from AA ( great crew) fixed it in two, the first week was for repositioning and evalation.......

have to say that AA did a great job....
Hope that answer ur questions.....
Saludos

the tulsa oklahoma crew from AA ( great crew) fixed it

so that explains the 4 white guys sitting right under the wing hiding from the sun. lol

i saw the crew when I was boarding my flight. they were hanging out right under the wing. had beach chairs too. that was so funny to see.
