Economic flights out of DR

One more post, from me, or rather one more question. I see lots of tips and info on cheap flights into DR, but I have not managed to find (so far) anything on flying out of DR – that is if you are residing in DR and want to go for holiday back to the old country (be it America or EU). What is the cheapest (and this is for family of four – so waiting for some last minute tickets would be rather difficult) way to fly to EU – would it be to catch a flight to Miami and get some special deal form there, or what….? If anybody has some good suggestions, these would be appreciated.

Try flying on a Budget airline (spritair,jetblue) to either Florida or Nyc and from there catch a flight to europe..but you dont say where in Europe youre going to
but in the winter you could find tickets from USA to Europe from 290-400 usd to most major cities in europe
so combining to tickets would cost between 450-650 if you do your research
VS 750-900 flying direct from DR to Europe
