in pp they take it even with supervisor present.

stealing aa batteries from passengers is their major source of income. 50-100 batteries a day. being resold $1 each. my last trip being stupid i overlooked two unopened 32 packs of aa in my carry-on.

reaction of that woman who stole them was like her second birthday.

they all want money without having to work.

second favorite thing to steal - honey. claiming there is panal in it.

being resold in playero next day.

The CESA are thiefs. They try to take lots of stuff to sell later especially at Punta Cana Airport. And by the way lots of girls take compact umbrellas ang golfers take golf umbrellas cause they get broken in checked baggage.
My point is that you will not encounter these agressive CESA people at POP or SDQ, only PUJ !!
This poster is correct. CESA are thieves, and it is amazing that they are allowed to damage tourism, further bankrupting the DR, by creating that reputation. Not only did they confiscate everything they could at security -- they stole six small batteries, even though there is no sign prohibiting them -- but when I arrived in the U.S., my checked baggage had been rifled and sealed plastic bags torn open in obvious haste [containing shampoo and dental floss, bad luck for them] even though I was late for the plane and they had no more than ten minutes to open checked baggage and look for something to steal. I had nothing but dirty clothes, but I'm sure they got plenty from other passengers.
