Default Aeropostal

I flew A... from Miami to caracas to Margarita island and back last year and had no problems except my luggage was two days later than me getting to Margarita and that may have been U.S, Air's fault for getting the luggage late to Miami from Charlotte, NC.

Default opinion about Aeropostal

I have over the last year read different opinions about Aeropostal - some mentioning that it is the most horrible experience, delayed and cancelled flights, lost luggage, no refunds etc. - others express that the airline is giving perfectly good service.

I am travelling to Venezuela in a week's time - seeking information on what airline to take that is reliable; Aeropostal is cheaper than any other airline I've found so far; what time does it leave from SDQ - is it on time, luggage lost/delayed etc.

thanks
A.

Take Aeropostal. It is direct, so no luggage problems. If you are not flying direct I would not recommend them, as I had a late problem once with them and missed my connection from SDQ to EZE.

Once they takeoff, they are just fine, it is just getting them off the ground on time.

Aeropostal fly daily between Las Americas and Caracas. I used to fly the Curacao Las Americas section on flight 800 and 801 between Caracas and SDQ, never had a problem. I am now flying Miami to Las Americas on American Airlines, don't waste time and money on them (AA), I'm surprised these guys are still in business. My last six flights (this year) have been on average close to three hours delayed, and that's not because of the weather. Copa via Panama is probably an alternative but not AA, I used to like them, not anymore. AA is a mess.

Are you sure Aeropostal is still in the air?
On my last trip (march) I booked on the 800 flight from Curaçao to SDQ
and was transferred to the Aserca (also Venezuela) flight the next day.
The return trip was with Sky King (US charter, I believe)
Here in Cur. the Aeropostal offices are closed since the end of march and I read here in the newspapers that the employees haven't been paid since.
No online reservations possible either.
Now, what do I do with this US$ 100 rebate coupon?

No I'm not sure I haven't called them for a while. I found Aserca here the other day when I was looking for a flight from SDQ to Curacao. If this is correct Aeropostal is flying, but who knows.
