Default Flights from SDQ to Caracas

Could anyone tell me who is flying, and how much a fare is from Sto. Dgo. to Caracas? I will be flying around December 17th 2008 with my family. If anyone has that info. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much.

well i did a little search for you and since you did not put a return date i just searched a one way ticket to give you atleast an idea.

i found that there is no non-stop flights for the 17th of december between SDQ and CCS.

i also found 3 choices...

one is LACSA with a 40 minute layover at Costa Rica for 735 US dollars

the other one is COPA with a 60 minute layover at Panama for 755 US dollars

and of course American Airlines with a 4 hour layover at San Juan for 766 US dollars.

i dont know if this prices are usually like this for 1 way but it seems expensive to me.

maybe some of the airlines from Venezuela will keep operations and the fare will lower or you should wait for when and IF air dominicana start flying to CCS with a lower fare.

i too have been looking at flights from SDQ to CCS for this fall and i havent found anything under $700 USD return and i think that thats pretty expensive (even for a return flight).

i booked a flight from seattle, washington to SDQ (with one short layover each way) and it only cost $550 with taxes all in! how could a flight from SDQ to CCS cost more?!?!

You can also book on Terminal A -> vuelos baratos: billetes baratos: tarifas reducidas: viajes al mejor precio: vacaciones baratas: ofertas: última hora: avion: aéreo: agencia de viajes

The key is either booking w/ Aeropostal directly, or booking on Spanish (from Spain) websites, because USA-based or International websites usually do not offer Aeropostal.

I just checked Copa, and as an example, depart SDQ on 17 Dec and return 31 Dec. the ticket including taxes was US$578 RT. In my experience, they do not charge change fees, but a change is subject to open seats. Their flights tend to get full about a week in advance, and Christmas time will fill up too.

I did not check for any specials, but the connections are good, and Copa has always been ontime, and never a lost bag for my travels with them.

Prices on Aeropostal are around USD 600, however when I did a similar query back in February, several people on this site warned against Aeropostal as being entirely unreliable and probably the worst choice -unless you want extensive delays and cancellations - in the end I never went to Caracas but spent time elsewhere, so I can't comment - but I would search DR1 for comments on Aeropostal before I purchase.
