Thumbs down Continental closes STI Station in Sept

Continental Airlines will retire from STI starting in September...

The bad news keep on coming, hope other airlines cover this routes soon or it will get ugly for passengers and airport and airline employees alike...

Regards

JFK-STI is the route that jetblue will increase its flights..... Simple.... the will cover the whole that AA will leave when AA1889 goes down in september.

So... who's going to cover the very healthy amount of Continental customers from EWR???

No doubt Jetblue may now consider EWR-STI

As far I heard, STI was not a money earned to Continental.

I don't fly much on CO from EWR to STI (maybe 10%), but I can tell you that a lot of people in NJ will be disappointed if they have to start having to drive to JFK again to get a direct flight to STI.

This is not welcome news!

I just flew JFK to POP on Jet Blue and was told onboard that they are buying up many (if not most) of the routes that AA and Continental are giving up. And they are a much better choice - better service and each time I fly them we are early arriving in both directions. Now the only concern will be the pricing...

Default Right.... temporary.....

This is not a reduction... .they will eliminate their station in STI... for the time being... indefinitely

Continental Airlines: Cleveland cuts will be 13 percent
