Flight needed!!!

Just been to the travel agent in Sosua and cant get on a flight back to the UK. Anyone know of anyone coming here from UK and not using their return flight??? Then i could change the name and use it to fly back. Or does anyone know how to get back there soon??? This is pretty stressful!!!!!!

As it happens, yes, I do know someone who came back to DR yesterday and has a return flight into Manchester for 23rd July - any help?

It just might be!!! The only option i got from the travel agent was the 23rd july. I would prefer one on the 19th but if my only choice is the 23rd then so be it!

Who is it flying with? Is it a possibilty to buy the return from them and change the name????

I will be talking to the person who has the ticket either later this evening or tomorrow for definite so will ask her to send you a message with full details if that is okay.... I think the flight is with Thomas Cook but don't know the rules and regs about the name changing.

I think that if you look at the ticket you will find it says "Non Transferable" so YES, to use it or change the name without the company being aware of it WOULD be 'against the rules'!!
It is quite conceivable that the company might not be able to change the ticket to your name either ...... it may be against the AIRCRAFT company's rules (they generally sell the seats to the tour company).

ANYTHING you do with regard to this ticket should be done with the Tour Company's involvement & acceptance. Good Luck ~ Grahame.

I would be surprised if this is possible, at least, officially.

The airlines would lose a lot of money if they let people sell the return portion of a ticket.
Most of them won't even let you transfer a complete return ticket that is already paid for.

You could try visiting the T.c office above Scotia Bank , my friend did this 2 weeks ago and got a flight to Manchester from PP for £256 , they are very helpful, its worth a try
