“It just amazes me” every time thought the years, we have tried to start an airline and we can’t get our Shi#%$ together to make it work. We start something and then a few months later it close down or the airline does not even open and it goes out business completely.. What greed…. we as a nation can’t even come together as one and try to even start something right.. The world see us a jacka@#%$. That we as a country don’t have it together…. Dominican Republic lost there Honor there loyalty to there own people.. But instead we brag about how great it is to be a Dominican while our own people are suffering… I don’t get it..

How can Latin America countries have there own airline and we can’t… Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, and Mexico to say a few. What the hell is going on!!!!! When are we going to move forward instead of backwards..


I now that the Dominican people and county has been blessed many time and we always end up come short in the race.. People it is time to wake up and smell that coffee and start making a change for the better and show the world that we are proud and honorable people and we can stand tall with out any fingers being pointed at us…

CAUSE EVERY COUNTRY IN THE CARIBBEAN HAVE IT'S OWN AIRLINES. We need an freaking airlines beacause we don't have one since the demised of Dominicana de Aviacion.

does air dominicana only fly to New york in the United states? I was wondering cause its crazy some of the flights that you have to take from the states to Dominican Republic? any one know of a good cheap flight from places other than New York? Thanks for the help

Wealthy investors are smart, they know the airline business is bad business. Porfio is right. "aside from the orgullo thing"...........I love that ..... so true. I've seen that many times over the years. The DR already has a lot of international airports on an island, generating more cash than any airline ever will, long term. That is control and manipulation, playing the odds. It's business, not gambling, with no room for novatos.
Why do you think private investor groups buy airports and not airlines? Follow the money. Everyone knew Air Dominicana was a joke from the beginning..........but Felucho is gonna fix all that, right?

Yeah, it also means that we allow to have our own flag carrier. Why some dominicans are so negative around this forum?

Trinidad and tobago have its own airline, Caribbean Airlines
Cuba with Cubana
Jamaica with Air Jamaica
grand cayman with Cayman Airways
turks and caicos with Skyking/Air turks and caicos
Antigua with Liat

along others, so why we can't have our own airline?

everything comes in mind with American, Delta and Jetblue and not give an chance with a new dominican airline.

If the government here sponsored an airlines, it would have to cut back on all of it's excellent social programs..Plus Metro was more important.
You mention Cuba with Cubana, how many Cubans actually get to fly?
