Default Continental low fares EWR to POP,SDQ,PUJ

Just saw this on Continental's web site for Jan - Feb. Prices are each way based on round trip purchase (taxes extra):

Newark (EWR) to:
POP $119
PUJ $119
SDQ $134

Here's the link

Seems pretty good for high season

Never flown with Continental. But they do seem to have some of the best deals going right now.

With taxes it is about $350. I find deals like this all the time with persistence. I expect to go-go down to $250-$270 soon. After February. With all economy reports and forecasts on deepenning recession.

All Ford plants in Russia are closed. Oil is $35. Circuit City is out of business. French billioner cuts his wrists (munecas) in his office. Another 500 000 lay-offs. Another 200 000 new homeless.

Air prices to POP should go down, I guess.

Bail-out tax payers` money are used by banks and Goldman Sachs for annual bonuses for top execs who keep flying with personal jets. What a shame!!

If you have flexibility you can get Jet Blue from JFK to Puerto Plata for $375 including taxes beginning in January. $119 one way $129 another way + taxes = $375

The problem with Continental flights is that you need to live within drving distance of Newark. They leave so early in the morning that you can't connect to them on the same day. You have to fly in the night before and stay at an expensive hotel or else kill twelve hours in the terminal.

If you have the patience to travel to/from Philadelphia, USA3000 has some pretty good deals to/from Punta Cana

USA3000 Airlines - Book a Flight

(how do you get the hyperlink to work by the way...?)
