Was checking out the pricing for a Santo Domingo trip in September and was amazed at the current pricing. ATL to SDQ through New York is about $385 round trip. ATL to SDQ direct was about $580 round trip. and there were only 2 direct flight from ATL to SDQ the first half of the month. Everything else is being routed through New York.
I hope that Delta is not stopping the direct flights from Atlanta.
Delta wasn't going to have daily atl-sdq flights anyway. In santiago they have saturday flight only and now pop has 4 flights/week. punta cana is daily.

Delta still ops one flight to SDQ from ATL on Sep 09
From sep 1st till sept 15th
Delta wont operate the following dates Sept 01,02,03.05,08,09 and 15th.
And could change due to operational needs and aircraft s availability and load factor.
