Pizza Via at the far end of town from Sosua located across from Janets also has a wood-burning fireplace. The Pizza Margherita is 80 RD. (No tax). Very good also.

Small place without name in Puerto Plata, just opened, corner of VillaNueva and 12 de Julio, a pink wooden house.
Open late, all pizzas ( grande ) 150 pesos.
Fresh, wooden oven..

try Las Rocas restaurant between Costambar and Cofresi, great pizza, wonderful Caprese salad.

...........VERY good. Toss up between Las Rocas and Sole Mio.
Sole Mio: In Costambar, more variety in addition to pizza.

Las Rocas: Off the beaten path, less crowded, nicer setting, bigger pizza, better prices.

What happened to the wooden oven. Ordered pizza, waited 20 minutes. Then was told it would be another hour since they ran out of propane and had to refill the tank. Typical Dominican businessman.
