Where is the Puerto Plata ChimiGordo guy?

Some years back, there was a guy on the Malecon at nights that sold the best chimis that I have ever encountered out of a trailer or van. In 2008 when I was there some friends told me that he was forced to move off of the Malecon, but they didn't know where or indeed if he had been allowed to set up again. I miss the almost nightly treat of a chimi gordo and freezing Presidente. Anyone out there got any info?

Ahhh my mouth is watering. Chimigordo's still around but he's moved from his little trailer into one of the new white huts on Long Beach. Although, last time I was there (Dec) he was saying they may move back to the trailer as the rent on the hut is high.

Thanks y'all... I'll check for him around Long Beach. Doing some work on a little house in PP with a Dominican friend for a couple of days...might be a good lunch break.
A big, fat, dribble down your chin chimigordo late at night on the Malecon is indeed a blast from the past...Blast your tastebuds to el cielo...mmmmm !
