santiago---- i got there late but it rained most of the day until 3 or so.. for families with children this is where to go. safe, lots of fun, ballons, food, confetti, floats and monsters. the cracking of whips sounding as small fireworks. kids all over the place almost no misbehaved people here. police are out. all are watching all the kids.. a good time for all... every sunday until march ??????? first... february is short this year...

im ready for the action on sunday it is getting closer and closer to the finals... next week im looking for the selling of confetti.. oh yeh the chinese dollars for the kids.... thinking of doubling up on the candy throwing.. got 240 and if there is enough time ill get another one... betwwen throwing candy and blowing up behigas ill be busy. maybe it will be time to go to costume next week so i dont get recognized. i might be colored but in this city thats ok... ill have to look for face painting supplies.... wondering if i should break out the bubble gun and try to get there early for a good spot...

or sunshine for only ten minutes or so today... people lov carnivale and wait all year , they were out although i myself skirted the issue... and persued other activities..!!!!.if you know what i mean???? the river is up. a good two feet or more. the tributaries are raging and the rain is not stopping yet... i dont think the parade got very far... but i will ask others....
