Does anyone know of direct airlines that fly in the summer that are reasonanable from either ottawa, montreal or toronto to puerta plata as I find alot do not fly in the summer?

Air Canada and some the the charter flights are the only ones that fly direct in the Summer. Most of the charters will fly direct out of Montreal and Toronto. Charters as in Skyservice, Sunwing and Air Transat. You can get air only prices with them.

Westjet is going direct from Toronto to Punta Cana this summer on Saturdays.

Do you know if those flights (offered by WestJet) allow a dominican holding a canadian tourist visa to flight from PUJ to Toronto (round trip)?

Buster, I'm not sure if you've taken your trip yet, but try a website called Cheap Flights, Airline Tickets, Cheap Airfares, Hotel Reservations, Car Rentals - OneTravel. It's by far the lowest prices I have found. I checked Ottawa in August and got a price of around $700 on Continental. And NO, I am not associated with them. LOL
