Default Best Hotel in Jarabacoa?

What is the best choice for a romantic hotel in Jarabacoa? Nice rooms, nice view of the river?

Your "view of the river" narrows the choice down to one: Hotel Gran Jimenoa.

I'm, not sure Jarabacoa River Club rooms are available yet.

Hotel Gran Jimenoa was a great experience for me....check your rooms hot water upon check in to verify it works. Other than that, I found the rooms, grounds, restaurant and location excellent.

I want to go to Jarabacoa, everyone keeps telling me the same thing. "You have to go with someone that knows the road, it's too dangerous"
How true is that?

That is a huge, steaming pile of BS.

The road from the autopista in La Vega to Jarabacoa is one of the best built and maintained in the entire country. Why? Jarabacoa is a major weekend spot for the rich, politicos and connected in the DR. Thay make sure ~their~ road is first class.

Maybe you have the road to Constanza, currently closed I understand, or the Jarabacoa to Constanza road confused.

Default getting there ?

I am wondering how I will get to Jarabacoa.

Leaving from Sosua or Pop, I guess I will take Caribe Tours to La Vega.

Is it direct to La Vaega or will I have to go to a major city?

Any idea what a taxi woul cost from La Vega to the Gran J Hotel ?

thanks for everyone sharing their knowledge and experieinces. Much appreciated!

Caribe is how I go....I had a backpack and a cooler (haha), brought both onto the bus....with the exception of the volume on the video player being a bit loud...the ride was great.

I shared Presidentes, made some new friends and got their safely....it's a pretty ride too!

Default Enjoy Jarabacoa

Jarabacoa is one of my favorite cities in the DR. Jarabacoa is a wonderful place to just relax. I stayed at Hotel Pinar Dorado, although not on the river it is a very nice hotel.

HOTEL PINAR DORADO - The Hotel Pinar Dorado is just minutes away from downtown Jarabacoa and our Adventure Center Rancho Baiguate. Whether you come to relax or want to spend a romantic time with your spouse or stay over during your Adventure Tours, P
