Default banana recipes needed?

While I was in Punta Cana on vacation, I ate this wonderful banana dish.

I was wondering if someone can help me with the name and/or recipe.

I was basically cut bananas heated up in a pan with butter, then honey, some kind of orange syrup or extract was added, and possible one more ingredient was added.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

Could have been Plátanos al caldero, but that's made with plantains, not bananas, and although very sweet it's a side dish, not a dessert.

Plátanos al caldero (Caramelized ripe plantains) - Dominican Cooking

There aren't that many Dominican banana-based desserts, strangely enough.
