Ran tryouts for 9-12 yo kids today for our league and ended up having to draft a minor team for an as yet to be determined volunteer coach. Hope a parent steps forward but that remains to be seen. Perhaps they will end up practicing with my 13-14 yo team.

Ah well...baseball is back and I live again.

Wonder what baseball will be like in the DR ?

Today I stare out the window at the brown and white winter of Colorado. It is 20 degrees F and the wind is blowing so much it feels like 0. I check the weather almost daily in the Dominican and yearn for the shining sun, even when seeing the rains. 80s, 70s even 60s whisper their siren song to bring me back. Soon I must remind myself, soon.

Ah well...baseball has begun and I live again. 10 players so far and practice times indoors...one evening a week and more to come.
