Salaries for Marketing Professionals

I am moving to Santo Domingo with my fiance in February 2001. I have a B.S. degree in International Business and have specialized in the field of marketing for the last 15 years. My Spanish is not good yet, though I am diligently working on it. Any idea what kind of salaries one with those qualifications can earn in the D.R. these days?

I'm sorry, but I do not know. It depends what company you work for. Telecommunications, Electricity, Banking, Free Zones and Tourism are HOT and the competition for good expertise is fierce and salaries are good in Dominican terms. The range is very wide --- I know of people earning from US$2,000 - US$8,000 per month, where higher salaries are very dependent on performance.
