Default Note to Dolores...

The DR1 News front page has the following:

"The Central Bank reveals that non-free zone exports are down 24.7% in the first quarter of the year, declining from US$1.33 billion in 2001 to US$1.26 billion in 2002"

These numbers don't seem to add up to me. Would you give me the Web address where you picked up that information? I'd like to check it out.

thanks,
mondongo

"that's interesting. It cought attention as well when I saw it so I went ahead and tried calculating the the % change and it's more like 5% decrease, not 24.7%"

Dolores, I read the Central Bank report(yawn). Non-freee zone exports ARE down 24.7%. But the US$1.26B and U$1.33B is not the correct number. They claim that these exports are down US$54million......I did not find any mention of this in Listin.com.do.
