Bananas
All types of Bananas grow in the Dominican Republic being a tropical plant.
Do you mean plants within the Banana family(Musaceae)? Do you also mean on a private or commercial basis?
Plantains are grown across the country and consumed both green and ripe.
The most commonly grown Banana tree is the Musa x paradisiaca. I've also seen the Musa acuminata (Dwarf Banana) grown for personal consumption.
There are a few Heliconia collectors that have over 150 varieties.
