Default Banco Popular Swift Code

Can anyone confirm the SWIFT Code for Banco Popular? I have been told it is BPDODOSXXX.

My bank tells me that this is not a SWIFT code as it does not have any numbers in it. I think they are wrong, and doing a search of the Internet I have found a couple of references to the above code. However I also found an article that said SWIFT Codes are 8 or 11 characters (and the above is ten).

Any help greatly appreciated.

Adrian

PhMb,

Thanks very much.

I guess I will go with BPDODOSXXXX, though a Google search turns up no matches for this and the Bank told me it had one less 'X'.
