I read about life in DR and I am interessted in working in DR most of the time every year. I am a computer professional with more than dozen years of strong international experince in different areas. Currently I live in USA as a green card holder and own the house which I would probably rent, however I probably would not have much money to invest to DR (I saw on some sites that around $15,000 is needed to invest to DR before applying for cedula).
Are there any alternatives to get work visa or residency visa/cedula without such an investment (or by showng home equity in USA) in DR.
I will visit Santo Domingo soon.

yes, you can come as a visitor, find a job, sign a work contract with your employer, submit it to the Labor Department and apply for residency visa, that can be upgraded to residency.
