Definition of bare-faced cheek!
I refer you to a leading telecommunications company that recently relaunched under a new name, no prizes for guessing who I am talking about.
Over the last few months their e-mail account holders have been plagued by an avalanche of spam (much of it downright offensive, not to mention poorly targeted) from both local and international spammers. The general conclusion is that this eminent company or its employees have simply sold their lists to these people.
Now I discover that they are offering a new service: they charge customers a pretty penny for a filter system, apparently. I couldn't find details of it on their website, but a friend's workplace is having it installed.
Does this qualify as the epitomy of bare-faced cheek, cara dura or chutzpah!?
