Default Please enter and share your wisdom...

Where does the granite and marble sold in the Dominican Republic come from? What's the average price for quality granite per square meter?

I'm testing the market with a 20' container of both, along with bathroom fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers, faucets, etc) coming from China.

To be honest with the DR1 community, I am clueless about this... and yes, I've put my last dollar into it. My Chinese partner knows the DR like he knows Jesus Christ. He doesn't.

I'm a young Dominican looking for advise. I'm one of those that goes head first into something, because I believe in it. All advise is welcome (and begged for).

The container is on it's way and time is ticking!!!!!

What advise do you give me to infiltrate the market there?

Well it seems in the past few hours you have made several posting with a good deal of ...shall I say..discrepancies.
One post: I have 10million dollars to invest.
Second post: There is a "real estate" crunch no "financial crunch"
Third post: I want to know everything there is to know about breaking the market in the DR with toilet bowls and I have a 20' container to be delivered to my apartment any day now.

Hate to be negative but I smell an early April's fool joke. Eh??

Not sure if this qualifies as advice, but you're certainly going to end up head first in something that you did not bargain for. That is if you're a real person and not some cheap imitation of someone that has been banned before. LOL

Case Appealed

Palm Oil - Someone asked why the original poster wanted that large amount of palm oil. I guessed for biodiesel. I do not need palm oil.

U.S. Bashing - What started that 5 page thread was someone coming to www.dr1.com to bash Dominicans.

Thanks Hillbilly, thank God that youth and perseverance is on my side. I'm sure that, if you happen to be enjoying economical success today, you reached it with impeccable ease.

I registered yesterday for the first time. Thanks for the positive expectations.

John, the only April fool's joke is happening in your home year-round.
You know what? I take it back. I'll keep it civil.
Let me clarify the discrepancies.

1. I know someone managing an International REIT willing to get me involved since his group is starting to show interest in my beautiful native land.

2. Defying the real estate crunch - The Denver Post

Home buyers feel crunch as appraisals lag prices

3. I am venturing into something new. Unless I'm speaking to some conformist more concerned about his 401K than anything... what exactly is wrong with what I'm doing?

I want to thank all the well-wishers, especially the ones that took time out of their busy lives to run a "posting background check" on me before responding. I'll save you time from the get-go, since I just joined: save the negative comments for the mental midgets. Learn to identify them first.

I like to trivia myself, and right now I'm wondering if I can guess nationalities of the ones that replied.
