Importing personal vehicle for Business

I am interested in importing my vehicle into the DR. I purchased this vehicle 2 years ago exactly for this reason. Knowing dr-cafta was coming i purchased a ford expediton, because of the 5 year rule it has to ship this year because it is a 2003.
Does it matter when in the year it is shipped?
Has anybody received the reduced taxes because of dr law 168?
I currently have residence and cedula
How do they tax items you ship inside the vehicle?

Any information would be highly appreciated.

In the states in do personal/security transportation. Mostly athletes, business executives, military/government.

I kinda know about the taxi cartel so I wont be immediately performing that type of work.

I imported a specialty vehicle over 5 years old, knowuing I had to pay additional duty on it. It wasn't under the "one container and a car free" law for new residents.

You might want to contact the "Exception" department @ Adaunas in Santo Domingo.
