Default Selling my business...Punta Cana

Hello all,

I am wondering the best way to go about selling a business that I set up in Bavaro, Punta Cana last year. It is a concept clothing store like no other. Here's a little description:

Lost Luggage is the newest clothing store in the heart of Bavaro, Punta Cana, offering a wide selection of imported clothing, swimwear and under garments for men, women and kids. Located in the new Plaza Tobacco, local #50 on the second floor, it is central to hotels, offices and residential areas.

Lost Luggage was created to serve a double purpose. Our first mission is to provide excellent customer service, high quality brand name products such as Mexx, Liz Claiborne & Guess at unbelievably LOW prices to the general public of Punta Cana. Especially, with most items being priced under thirty dollars.

Secondly, the store also serves as a service to visiting tourists who have the unfortunate luck of arriving in Punta Cana with lost or delayed luggage. At Lost Luggage, they are sure to find basic items such as polos, t-shirts, bathing suits, dresses at affordable prices until their luggage is located. Free transportation is also available to customers drom their hotels upon request.

Lost Luggage receives new shipments of clothes on a monthly basis, so make sure to visit often, as there is something for everyone.

Lost Luggage also does custom orders upon request.

The business has been open for a little less than a year and has been dong very well, however, I am ready to sell it now and move onto other projects. What is the best way to go about putting it up for sale ? Any ideas on what a business of this size might be worth ? It's approx 40 sq metres, with all the equipment, logo, branding, reputation and most importantly the approx 10K of merchandise, all from Canada.

Thanks for all and any input !!!

Put an add in Bavaro News. As you know, there are lots of foreigners that would probably be interested in taking it over. I personally had no idea that your store existed... Where is that plaza?

The plaza is located right before you hit Machiplan....In front of Cappucino Mare (the blue building).

Any other suggestions to get my business sold. I am pricing it at 22 000 $ USD. Which I feel, it very conservative, based on the concept and the current clientele.

Do you think that listing with a real estate agent such as DR4SALE or Remax might be another option ?

What type of a commission do you think they might ask for the sale.

Kind regards to all !
