depending on the night you go....stop by Dizzy Ranch. It will be the first big club you might get to coming from Camp David anyway.

they dance more Salsa there than any club i have seen in Santiago.

it is all DJ..or at least was when i went.

if it is really a hot night , you might appreciate that club over some of the others, because it is like a huge thached roofed traditinal building with a very high cieling . some of the other clubs might have an 8 foot cieling and you will bake in there if it is crowded and hot.

if you can get to Tribecca, it might offer a little more of a romantic night, but I doubt you will hear any salsa...

Dizzy ranch is for low class people, like montebar. they play lots of fast merengue, mambo and musica tipica. may I ask, how old are you? the reason being, dulce and zoom cater to younger crowd. I would suggest tribecca or francifol cafe. they cater to a bit higher class folks. warning: these places have stopped dominicans from entering if they look like barrio folks or too black for the comfort of the folks inside. Sorry to say but this is how these clubs are.

the crowds at Montebar and Dizzy are far from low class...they might be dominican middle class.

Most men at Monterbar have button shirts tucked into slacks. Most are over 25. they dance all kinds of merenge and bachata.

I agree Tribecca might be a better place..

BUT dont think they are sooo much better.

they made me take my ear ring out..a gold hoop maybe 5/8" dia.

but they let a few kids in with white T-shirts!!! go figure...I was dressed with black dress pants and a white blazer!!!!!but the ear ring had to go!!

I know AZB knows a lot about the ins and outs of Santiago......but what goes into his eyes and ears does not neccessarily come out of his mouth!!!!!!

I can ASSURE you .if you go to Montebar or Dizzy , you will NOT BE ASHAMED or regret it...........

even if Leonel Fernandez does'nt go there ever!!
