We had a chance to check the new La Sirena in La Vega earlier this week.
NICE place and most welcome. It is typical new La Sirena. Not as large as Santiago or SFM, but the largest store in the area.
Think of it as a Super Walmart with a solid grocery/food/meat/seafood/bakery area, dry goods, electronics and a food court (I had a made-to-order Pasta Alfredo. Nice

I know we'll be going there for our larger grocery shopping excursions. The prices are lower than the local stores (offsetting the gas consumption of getting there), but the selection quite wide.
The competition should make the other stores in the area get better.
