Is there a theme night at any particular restaurant/lounge that has a hookah night in Santiago? Anyone ?

If you're from Boston and that's how you spell hooker then I'd guess there are plenty of options.

FWIW Lax, on the beach in Cabarete has a whole menu of tobaccos and and other options for hookahs...obviously they have a lot of hookahs as well...however, not a lot of hookers there...

ok, I will wait until AZB responds then, because I only know about hookah nights in Santo Domingo only.

another hookah buddy. i'm not sure whether this has caught on in the DR. i usually find the hookahs where there are a fair amount of middle eastern people.

I doubt you will find it. This is something that hasn't caught on. I own two Hookahs (main one and travel one). During my last trip to the DR in Feb of this year Politur in Sosua wanted to take me to jail because they thought I was doing drugs when smoking my hookah. And on the way back I got stopped in Santiago and was asked a whole bunch of questions. I explained that this is not drugs and I've been doing it for a number of years. I was let go eventually.

On another note...since this hasn't caught on, it might be a good business opportunity for anyone!!!

shisha ? hookahs ? all we need now is to add salvia to this equation and the DR would be in for a new but frightening experience.

H20 has hookah's with all the different flavored smokes such as mango, bubblegum, peppermint and a ton more.
