The following ad in The Atlanta Journal is reported to have received numerous calls.

Over 15,000 men found themselves talking to the local Humane Society about an 8-week-old black Labrador retriever.

Are you sure, La Profesora, that there were only 15,000 calls? Considering the alternative that most men must put up with, I would have thought 150,000, or even 15,000,000 calls would be more like it. The only explanation I can think of is that the ad must have run for a very short time or been buried somewhere in the classified section of the newspaper where most men weren't likely to see it.
