Softball in baseball heaven

I will be moving to the Dominican Republic in early Aug. 2006. I am a big fan of playing in a softball league. Surprisingly (to me) the American Embassy apparently does not have a team. I was wondering if anyone was aware of slowpitch softball leagues in Santo Domingo. (Also posted under "Dominican Baseball" subforum.)

I certainly do not know about slo pitch but there is fastball in the DR. Former local Frankie Perez plays in the USA with top notch teams and used to have an Annual tournament in the Boca chica area for his friends and buddies from US and Canada.

Baseball is the game but fastball is available.

There are literally TONS of slow (well sort of slow) pitch softball in Santo Domingo...all over for that matter.

There is a league over in La Feria ( back of Mauna Loa Casino)
