I do think having two teams from one country takes away from the whole idea of the Serie to begin with. I don't know why if PR didn't send a team, why couldn't they take the top Panamanian team for example (insert about 5 other country names here), or dare I say Cuban team?

Exactly. Would have been great to see a Cuban team, but there probably is a good chance members of the team would defect.

It all has to do with the Confederacion de Beisbol del Caribe. Only the venezuelan, mexican, puertorrican & dominican winter leagues are represented here. These are the people that put on The Show. For any other country to be included they would have to beolng to the Confederacion.
