Default Arod will play for the DR

This ought to be a good one, I hope they have some games in Florida again so I can catch one.

This is great news if he does comply with his word, That is a huge bat that will complement the DR team.

Thanks Chip for the news.

His word is crap. He probably "misremembers" (as his buddy Clemens so eloquently put it) that he'd honor his real country (the US) in the beginning, before vacillating among his many choices.

He's a half-ass nitwit and has a long way to go to be remembered as anything but.

Mark Texeira is the best MLB player hands-down. At the very least, he has a clear understanding of where he came from and who he is.

MeRod is still a little boy trying to find his way. Putting your faith behind this guy is a lost cause. If he does play for the DR, I'll - unfortunately - have to root against them - mainly him.

Such a punk. Dispicable.

Why his choice of teams is even a matter of discussion makes me ill.

Warmest Regards,

Cleef

Perhaps a little strong, but spoken plainly and to the point.

I was at the game in Feway Park when IRod got a face full of Varitec's mitt. It was a sight to behold. IRod crumbled like a little girl, and the game shifted, the Sox won, and then went on to take the series that year.

I can't say it was the turning point of the year, but it certainly put the puto in his place, and it showed the significance of character to a team. The incident also demonstrated why Varitec was made captain of the Sox, and why IRod isn't considered much of a locker room asset for NY, and won't lift a finger for anything that doesn't directly benefit him.

Let's just say he's not the consummate team player.

"Comply with his word"? If I read the article correctly, David Ortiz is saying that Alex Rodriguez told him that he would like to play for the DR. Alex has not yet made an announcement.
