Here's WAY more than you were asking for, but this is a thorough listing.
Thanks Cleef, wish I'd had that while the series was on!

Thanks Cleef. It was interesting to see the following:

NY has more "original talent" than Philly. (I understand how statistics can lie - certainly NY can afford to "buy" the best additional talent when it needs it. That is free market Capitalism subsidized by the Steinbrenners.)

There is someone with the name Bastardo on Philly. I guess he is lucky his first name isn't "Fat". -- Only Mike Meyers fans will get the joke.

Because of the numbers he put in the post season in spite of the crap everyone talks about him and all the drama he's gone through. He basically carried the team through the playoffs.

Steroids? Yes he did them a while back, but so has pretty much everyone else.

He had an excellent post season for sure, but truth be told, every single ounce of drama in his life is manifested by his own hand.

I'm fine with him doing steroids, it's all the lying that makes my skin crawl.

Who do you think is the most popular Domincan player? My guess would be Ortiz or Pedro Martinez. Guess you have to consider Manny, even though he is a douchebag

Every Dominican is a douchebag to you. The most popular Dominican player in the DR is Miguel Tejada.

Tejada is called "El Pelotero de la Patria", he has never failed to represent the DR in international events even in the winter of 2003-04 when he played winter baseball and in "Serie del Caribe" just after winning his MVP award in the MLB.

Different from other so-called stars, Tejada went to both Baseball Classics and always says he is done playing winter baseball every year just to put on the uniform in december and help his Aguilas win the championship, that's a feat that even us Liceystas admire and respect from him. Other Dominican baseball players stop playing winter ball as soon as they hit 25 HRs in MLB and feel they are some kind of "star".

Money hasn't gotten to his head and he is always trying to help his community however he can as showed when he spent RD$12MM building a baseball complex in his native Bani. When he had problems with the US Justice Department last year everybody in the DR supported him including the Congress and his native Bani as showed in this link: Baní apoya a Tejada - ElNacional.com.do

Miguel Tejada no come cuentos con su patria, y nosotros no comemos cuento con Miguel Tejada.

I wouldn't have said Tejada.
