The silence is deafening from the AROD bashers. He has done his part thus far for the first time in the post season, it is up to the rest of the team to carry them the rest of the way.

It's MeRod, or ARoid, not ARod. Really though, who wants to go by that name anyway.

Good for him, his outer self has finally acclaimed his inner mental midgetness.

If you're a MFY fan, and bank yourself on that mental meatball, good for you, and all your front-running teams. Probably a big fan of the Jersey Football teams A & B, who both lost last week, now you're on to the next winner.

He's a liar, a cheater, but still, an amazing athlete. Good for him, join the club.

Make your money while you can, ala Sammy Sosa.

He'll be laughing all the way to the bank, whilst the rest of us live in his new refrigerator's cardboard box, but with integrity.

GO PHILLIES!!!!

Cleef, I have been a Yankee's fan since I was aware of what baseball was. I am from NY state and do not change my allegiance based upon who is winning or losing. (Likewise I also always "hated" the Red Sox - it doesn't matter what they do).

There were times when I wanted AROD gone from the Yankees because he appeared to be the jinx on the team. If they do win it all this year, that will be forgotten.

I could care less about football, soccer, hockey and the rest of organized sports.
They simply don't interest me. The only team in organized sports I follow is the Yankees. It has nothing to do with how they are funded or who is on the team at any given moment.

I never pay attention to the National league unless the Yankees have to play one of those teams. It looks like the Yankees will go to the World Series and whoever they play, may the best team win. I hope now and always have that it will be the Yankees.

I'm normally NOT a Yankees fan, but since they most likely will be the ones facing the Phillies this year I really really hope they open a can of whopa$$ on them. Can't explain it, but just can't bring myself to liking them. I think in my mind they are so connected with the city of Philadelphia ( the city with the ugliest people, the worst parking, the worst...well you get the drift). Too bad my Detroit Tigers blew it big time...

My father and I got to go and see the Phillies clinch the penant last night. Pedro Martinez looked very happy spraying champagne and heading back to the world series. Pedro Feliz hit an opposite field homer. I can't see the Yankees winning more than a game or 2 versus the Phils.

By the way, there were a lot of attractive female Philly fans in attendance.

It's not over until its over and the Yankees still have to close out LAA, preferably tonight, before they can take out Philly. Chris NJ, for whatever the reason, thank you for your support.

I have never been a fan of anything from NY even though my mother was born in upstate NY... until 911.

As far as Arod goes, I'm still a fan of his even though he has let us all down. Then again I was a big Mark Mcgwire until his debacle, than Sammy (still am) and now Arod. I doubt Arod juiced as much as Barry Bonds and I will be glad to see his name at the top of the list so we can forget how much Barry hated everything about baseball but himself, his money and his homeruns.

Nonetheless, I fully expect Bonds to make it to the hof and expect him to keep with the great "tradition" (albeit recent a la MJ et al) of talking about how great he is and how he was the Giants and how much he deserved it. Say whatever you want, Arod will never do that.

Your second question is, of course, THE question, to which I hope the answer is NO.

They will win in 6 if they beat LAA tonight. But that is just my prediction.
