They can definitely beat the Phillies, no doubt. The bullpen (hugely) favors the MFYs, but that can be neutralized with big leads, however, it's going to be very difficult to outscore them.

The MFYs wouldn't be where they are without MeRod (he's single-handedly kept them in games, or won them outright - 3 or 4 times just recently).

Mark Texeira's play is astounding. 2 of the 3 plays he made defensively in game 3 were incredible. He's easy to root for.

If Philly can get 4 quality starts out of Lee and Hamels, I think it's a 7 game series with a dramatic ending. If the MFYs get in the bullpen early, this will be a short series. Between the week off, and the weather, this season might go to Thanksgiving.

All that being said, I have $ on the Angels, so I'm pulling for them.

I wouldn't mind LAA winning it, but I think that's wishful thinking at this point. I forgot to say the only time I would be rooting for Philly is if/when Pedro pitches for them. Cute girls at the Philly's game? They must be "imported" from Westchester or other surrounding areas. You need to post some pics if you want me to believe that...

Good for him, his outer self has finally acclaimed his inner mental midgetness.

If you're a MFY fan, and bank yourself on that mental meatball, good for you, and all your front-running teams. Probably a big fan of the Jersey Football teams A & B, who both lost last week, now you're on to the next winner.

He's a liar, a cheater, but still, an amazing athlete. Good for him, join the club.

Make your money while you can, ala Sammy Sosa.

He'll be laughing all the way to the bank, whilst the rest of us live in his new refrigerator's cardboard box, but with integrity.

GO PHILLIES!!!!
Sammy Sosa? are you serious dude? Sammy had a great run, but you cant put him in the same class as A-rod.
And hate all you want,A-Rod, his kids and his kids kids will never be broke. Alexs last contract was more then Sammy made in his whole time playing.
And about integrity, lets be honest and admit that probably more then half of the players were taking steroids back then.

Yeah, why not?

Both lied, both cheated. They were paid for their performance(s) that were a result - at least partially - to PEDs.

It's not the baseball skills I'm comparing. It's their 'class' (or lack thereof) that makes them two peas in a pod.

And?

Who - beyond the kids - really cares?

Default If they can only win two more games...

With the person who is the topic of this thread hitting a controversial home run, together with all of the other home runs last night, win number 2 for the Yankees looked more like a typical game for them.

If they can only win two more.
