Not one credible media outlet has made mention of this so-called "list".

If it were authentic, it would be sending shock waves all through the world of sports.

Here is an article I saw regarding the list.

Truth of the matter is that, even though the list is unconfirmed, the shadow of guilt, at least in baseball, has its merits and for no other reason that those players who had been previously "rumored," have been proven as users. Players such as Sheffield and Ivan Rodriguez are some of the notable players on this list and have previously been named.

Will I say this list is 100% accurate, no, but considering the developments in the last 2 years, with revelations of players like Clemens and Sosa (who we never thought were juicing) any player is subject to that cloud of distrust.

All players in this era are unfortunately guilty by association. Even Pujols. He is juicing, he's just been good about not getting caught.....

A question for the masses.

Was the use of steroids, HGH, Anthro, or other substances (not "recreational" drugs) banned before 2003>?

I remember a famous television interview with McGuire, in front of his locker at Busch Stadium. Right there, in plain sight, was a big jar or Anthro...nobody commented on it...

I remember a guy I knew, here in the DR winter league, popping "greenies" before a game....I also know the guy fizzed out in the Bigs...

Hillbilly-the timeline is kind of fuzzy for me, but I believe there were certain rules in place before 2004 regarding certain substances but there was no comprehensive testing plan, but banning a substance without testing for it is like not banning it at all.

The androstenedione was legal when McGuire was taking it, but the other stuff he was taking made andro look like tic tacs.

"Greenies", or amphetamines, have been a locker room staple ever since they were invented and were only recently banned.

The banned substance list has been made concrete in 2004 along with the new testing protocols. Before that it was pretty much anything goes, or as A-Rod said "it was a loosey-goosey time".
