Dominicanos en Los Angeles?

i'm so happy i found this thread! glad to know i'm not the only one having problems with ppl not knowing where la isla is even located!!! and i can finally go to a dominican hair salon!

I was born in Los Angeles (my family randomly moved from NY, and my mom met my dad here)...as soon as they separated she moved back NYC, but now I've completed the circle and I'm a student here at the University of Southern California (USC).

I live in SF, and while I am not Dominican, I have always associated(due to location/proximity to the respective places: DR and Mexico) Dominicans and Puerto Ricans with NYC and the East coast in general, whereas California and the west coast is predominated with Mexicans.

Finally i found Dominicans out here in the west coast. People are always asking me where is DR. My response is always its by PR and Cuba. Then they know where its at. But i hope to get in contact with some of you living out here in Los Angeles. I am actually not too far from Burbank. My email is Triplej726@gmail.com .

I am in Northern California. My daughter is in Los Angeles (Santa Monica).

I am not too far from Santa Monica. Just went to that beach a few weeks ago. Is she going to school down here?

Vivo en San Jose,CA pero acabo de llegar de visitar San Diego y me encontre con un restaurant dominicano en el Gaslamp Quarter/Downtown. Se llama Mangu, esta en 524 Island Ave, San Diego, CA 92101. Esta de los mas chulo.

Los duenos son dominicanos y si pasas por allas puedes hablar con ellos para que te digan como conectarte con los dominicanos de por alla. Hay se juntan dominicanos tambien.

Tambien hay una discoteca dominicana por eso rumbo pero no se como se llama. Pregunatale a ellos, que ellos te dicen.
