Dominican Sisters

I just read a story regarding a Nun who was just released from jail in the States today after spending two years for defacing some nuclear Silo's. It said she and two other Dominican Sisters etc.

My question then is there an 'Order' of Nun's in the Catholic Church known as the 'Dominican Sisters'. If so what connection to the D.R. does it have does anybody know.

They have a custom of not eating salted cod or herring and have tried to tax or ban it out of existence. Those nuclear silos were in fact large cod and herring repositories run by the Area 52 folks. (Neighbors to the more secretive Area 51).
