Default quisqueyanos and foreign languages

Hi,
I have a great interest in foreign languages, thus, I have studied a good number of them. Apart from learning to write well in the Spanish language, I have learned to write in languages related to the family tongue, among them
Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, Romanian, and French. As far as Portuguese, it is believed by most to be the same as español, but it actually has many written differences, and tends to be more to difficult to comprehend when someone speaks it. In addition to these tongues, I have also studied some German, Dutch, Polish, and a little of other tongues. I feel that my main interest in studying foreign tongues has been an interest in their writing, the letters, how they are used, and special characters. So now I inquire, Are any of my fellow quisqueyanos into language study too?I feel it's good to discover that people from the old country share an interest in a particular field.

Peace to all
