Led,

I loved reading your Travelogue. It was humourous and informative, especially for a person who goes there a lot. I have only been to Sosua and Puerto Plata but I would love to go see an actual village. Reading your travelogue I could visualize being there as a friend or family member. What you said about the nicknames that was so funny and so true. I have always wondered about some of the nicknames that I have heard.

I hope that you have recovered from your pool mishap and your forehead is back to normal(sounds like something that would happen to my husband).

We are going to Casa Marina in Sosua at the end of July and I can't wait.

I will post our adventures when I return.

excellent, i found myself chuckling and laughing. My first trip was out of JFK and I think we were the only gringos on the plane. My kids, age 9 and 12 loved it. You have captured much of the essence of the DR and it's people with a few words. My wife, Dominican from Jarabacoa, loved it.
