Junot Diaz on book recommendation for Presidents

Pulitzer Prize winning author, Junot Diaz was in Santo Domingo on occasion of the launching of the Spanish version of his "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao."

The Listin Diario interviewed him and asked him what book he would recommend to politicians President Leonel Fernandez, former President Hipolito Mejia and 2008 PRD presidential candidate Miguel Vargas. President Leonel Fernandez is known as a book guzzler. His response:

"I would not recommend any book to them. I would give them passports to leave. We need something new for our country. The traditional political parties are not fulfilling the expectations."
